Hi! My name is Carrie Thrasher and I live in Rockport. I just read your article in The Bend magazine, and if am thoroughly impressed. I, too, homeschool my 8 year old daughter, Kendall. I could NOT have expressed why we moms homeschool, ANY better than you. Your writing was BRILLIANT. Thank you! Every year, I question myself as to wether or not I’m doing the right thing, and if this is still something God wants me to continue doing. THEN, I always get some confirmation, that YES, indeed, He does. Thank you, again. I consider myself a pretty good creative writer. However, (I’m saying it again) you were BRILLIANT.

Hi Carrie! Thank you so much for your kind words…I’m still blushing ; ) I loved writing the article for The Bend because it really forced me to remind myself why it is that I do what I do! It’s so easy to get bogged down with the day to day “stuff” that sometimes we lose focus as to why we’ve made the choice to homeschool…add to that the fact that the world of homeschooling can sometimes feel very lonely and it is so easy to question ourselves…finding support can sometimes feel like a battle all of its own! Hope you find encouragement and support here!
